The mission of the Greene County Records Center and Archives is to advise and assist all county offices with the proper management of records throughout their lifecycle and ensure that they are maintained and legally disposed of pursuant to Ohio’s records laws. The Records Center and Archives also serves the public by protecting, preserving, and providing access to public records that document the history of Greene County. Numerous county records are accessible on this portal-try searching by keyword, subject, place, or decade. If you have questions about our digital collections or how to research them, call us at 937-562-6487.
Please note, early archival records may contain language and terminology that reveal certain social and cultural standards of that time. Those terms and words are included here, not to endorse those standards, but to report the content of the records as accurately as possible.
We are happy to fulfill specific records requests for off-site researchers. Please use the records request form, available on our website, to submit inquiries. Pursuant to the Ohio Public Records Laws, if you would like to submit a public records request for records not available on this portal, please use the online request form.
